Biography

Kelly M. Cresap, Ph.D., is an author, public
speaker, storyteller, humor consultant, award-winning performer, and
former NPR commentator. His book “Pop Trickster
Fool” (U. Illinois Press, 2004) examines archetypes in the
life of pop artist Andy Warhol.
Kelly inaugurated the popular Smithsonian seminar on storytelling for
personal transformation. He frequently leads workshops on storytelling, archetypes, and
humor, most recently as a guest faculty at the National Speakers
Association’s keynote university. He earned his doctorate in
English literature at the University of Virginia, and currently lives
in Silver Spring, MD.
